Essential Qualifications

• M.Lib.Sc./MLISc or equivalent with at least 55% marks from a recognized University/Institute
• Master's degree in Arts/Science/Commerce or any discipline with B.Lib.Sc./BLISc with at least 55% marks.
• Post Graduate Diploma/Certificate Course in Computer Applications or Library Automation from a recognized institute (Minimum 6 months).
• At least 3 years of working experience in a reputed library.

Essential Qualifications:

• At least a second class Master’s Degree in Science (preferably in Biological Sciences) from a recognized University or equivalent
• Degree or Diploma in Library Science from a recognized Institution or University
• 7 years' experience in a supervisory capacity in a reputed library

Desirable:

• Master’s Degree in Library Science
• Training in Medical Librarianship
• Experience in documentation work in a responsible capacity
• Knowledge of Sanskrit and any modern European language other than English

Note: Period of deputation shall not ordinarily exceed 3 years.

• (vi) Secretarial Work: data entry operations; noting, drafting, verification and scrutiny of records relating to library establishment, maintenance of files and records; budget maintenance, stores, personal records, leave records etc., if needed;
• (vii) All other jobs assigned from time to time.
