UNESCO Memory of the World Programme was launched in 1992 for the preservation of and access to documentary heritage. For identification of global documentary heritage, International Register, Regional Register, and National Register were proposed. India needs to create a National Register for identification and recognition of its vast documentary heritage. The proposed webinar will discuss various issues and challenges in creation of Indian National Register under UNESCO Memory of the World Programme.
