Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) invites applications from deserving candidates to the post of Assistant Project Manager for the project HoMI (History of Mathematics in India), which will document, research and propagate India’s contributions to mathematics.
Project Title: HoMI (History of Mathematics in India)
Name of the Post: Assistant Project Manager
Number of posts: 01
Tenure: 2 years (with evaluation of performance at the end of each year). Consolidated monthly remuneration: Rs. 40 to 48,000/- (consolidated + campus accommodation or admissible HRA), to be revised at the end of each year subject to satisfactory performance.
Age limit: Below 35 years as of 31.12.2020.
Qualifications:
Essential:
1. MBA, Masters in Library & Information Science (M.L.IS.c), or MSc.
2. Good managerial skills and adequate experience of working with academia/industry.
3. Adequate Computer skills.
Desirable:
4. Basic knowledge of Mathematics (Higher Secondary level).
1. Basic knowledge of Sanskrit.
Job Description:
1. Coordinating meetings and events.
2. Liaison with IITGN faculty and other experts in India and abroad.
3. May require travelling.
4. Assisting in building a repository and books, journals and other digitised documents.
5. Updating the HoMI website.
