Essential Educational Qualification and Experience
- Essential:
- A Master’s degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation Science with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed.
- At least ten years as a Librarian at any level in University Library or ten years of teaching as Assistant/Associate Professor in Library Science or ten years’ experience as a College Librarian.
- Evidence of innovative Library services, including the integration of ICT in a library.
- A Ph.D Degree in library science/information science/documentation/archives and manuscript-keeping.
- Desirable experience:
- Preferably experience in heading as a Librarian of a University/Institute of higher learning or in a similar capacity and he shall deal with the staff and issues of Library individually
Deputation (including short term Contract):
- Officers from the Central/State Government or Institutes of national importance or universities/university level institution or PSU:
- holding analogous post or With at least 3 years service in posts in pay level 13(A) as per Central Pay Commission or its equivalent and having experience of innovative Library service including the integration of ICT in a library.
Application Fee:
The application fee of (Non-refundable) Rs.1000/- (Rupees one thousand only) for candidates who belong to ‘General, OBC and TG (Third Gender)’ categories and Rs. 300/- (Rupees three hundred only) for candidates who belong to ‘SC/ST/PwD/’ categories and Women candidates. The payment of application fee shall be in the form of a crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Registrar, The EFL University, Hyderabad, from any nationalized bank payable at Hyderabad.
