In the recent years Information and Communication Technology (ICT) exhibits remarkable Influence on the society in all walks of life and academics are not an exception to this phenomenon. ICT facilitates and allows the dissemination of information instantly and for quicker and more effective communication. Librarianship Is one of the two professions (the other being publishing) that we situated at the frontier of changes being brought about by the application of ICI and digitization. Dramatic changes are In the offing for libraries as the result of the digital revolution, such as changes in the form of library; changes In the relationship between an institution's library and its information technology division; changes In the way collections are acquired, organized, stored, and delivered and changes in the design of library buildings and facilities and in participation by libraries In consortia. Libraries have witnessed a great metamorphosis in recent years. Over the last several years, a significant transformation has been noticed from traditional to hybrid nature. The emerging technologies further Influenced the transition and transformation of libraries into different dimensions. Keeping these developments and the Implications on libraries, an International conference has been A planned where the US professionals across the globe in general and India in particular would participate, discuss, debate and deliberate on the issues pertaining to these developments and bring awareness among the US professionals and motivate them to Incorporate and implement in their libraries. By Train: There are two Railway Stations. One i.e. Hubli Railway station which is located around 23 KMs from the venue and Dharwad Raaway station at a distance of 2.5 KMs from the venue. There are direct train facilities from Delhi, Mumbal, Ahmadabad, Chennal, Bangalore to Dharwad. You are advised to book the train tickets in advance to avoid last minute rush.
