Essential Qualification and Experience
- i) A Master„s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point -scale wherever the grading system is followed.
- ii) Five years of teaching Library Science or five years„ experience as a Assistant / Deputy/College Librarian in an institute or university.
- iii) Evidence of innovative library services, including the integration of ICT in a library.
Desirable:
- A Ph.D. Degree in library science / information science /documentation /archives and manuscript-keeping.
How to Apply
- a) The screening of applicants for the post of “Librarian” shall be done on the basis of the API /criteria prescribed by the University.
- d) For the post of “Librarian”, there will be a written test in the “Library Science” Discipline.
- e) The shortlisting of the applications for the interview will be made as per the API criteria prescribed by the university and the score in the written test. However, the final selection will be made purely on the performance in the interview.
- f) In case of exceptional merit, the Selection Committee may recommend a maximum of three additional increments for higher qualifications, experience and achievements by the candidates
- g) Persons already in employment should apply through proper channel.
- h) The University reserves the right not to fill up the post
