Library Professional Trainee Recruitment

The Central Library of NIT Agartala invites applications for the position of Library Professional Trainee from fresh postgraduates in Library & Information Science.

Post : Library Professional Trainee (Fixed Period Internship)

No of Post : 05 (Five)

Stipend : Rs. 20,000/- Per Month (Fixed)

Age Limit : Not exceeding 27 years (As on the last date of the Application)

Last Date of Application 23/09/2025

Duration

• Maximum duration: 12 months (extendable up to 24 months based on performance). Training may be terminated anytime if found unsatisfactory.

Essential Qualifications

• First Division in MLISc from a recognized Indian university. Year of passing must be 2024 or 2025. Candidates awaiting results may also apply.

Essential Skills Requirement

• Working knowledge of computers, library software, and good writing skills.

Responsibilities

• All library-related tasks including rotational shifts and working on holidays. Six-day workweek required.

Selection Process: Written test / skill test followed by personal interview.
