Prescribed Minimum Qualification / Experience

Essential

• Graduate in Science.
• Postgraduate qualification in Library and Information Science (regular course).
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a library at a reputed research/academic institute.

Desirable

• Doctorate in Library Science.
• Experience in a library at a reputed research/academic institute at Level-10 and above or equivalent, with at least 3 years’ experience at Level-11 or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities (Highlights)

Major Duties

• Lead transition to digital domain — host/manage digital repositories of books, journals and resources for easy access.
• Support open-access initiatives and assist researchers publish in open-access venues.
• Provide specialised research data services, maintain databases & information metrics.
• Assist faculty in enhancing visibility — researcher profile IDs, academic networking platforms.
• Manage science communication & outreach: lead content creation (text/visual/video), manage social media, and coordinate outreach events and exhibitions.
