EMRS STAFF SELECTION EXAM (ESSE) – 2025

Total Posts : 124 (UR: 52, EWS: 12, OBC: 33, SC: 18, ST: 9, PwBD categories included)

Upper Age Limit : Not exceeding 35 years (relaxation for SC/ST/OBC & other categories as per Govt. of India Rules). For EMRS employees: up to 55 years including all relaxations (maximum age shall not exceed 55 years).

Eligibility – Librarian

• Essential Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science from a recognized institution with at least 50% marks;
• OR Bachelor’s Degree in Library & Information Science with at least 50% marks;
• OR Integrated M.Lib.I.Sc. from a recognized institution with at least 50% marks.

Desirable : 

• Experience of working in a residential school  
• Knowledge of Computer Applications

Tier-I – Preliminary Exam (Qualifying) – OMR Mode – Total 100 marks

Part-I: General Awareness 10 10  |  2 hours (overall)

Part-II: Reasoning Ability 15 15

Part-III: Knowledge of ICT 15 15

Part-IV: Teaching Aptitude 30 30

Part-V: Domain Knowledge (Activity-based + NEP-2020) 20 + 10 30

Part-VI: Language Competency – English, Hindi, Regional — 30 (Qualifying only) – Min. 40% aggregate (i.e., 12/30).

If Part-VI not qualified, Parts I–V will not be evaluated.
