Experience
- Deputy Librarian in Level-12 with 13 years regular service, OR
- College Librarian in Level-10 with 18 years regular service.
- Desirable M.Phil. or Ph.D. in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation / Archives / Manuscript-keeping.
Age limit 50 years
Eligibility (Deputation)
- Holding Analogous post in Level-13, OR 3 years’ regular service in Level-13 in any Govt. Department/University/Organisation with prescribed qualifications.
- Max. deputation period 5 years
Post : Assistant Librarian
Pay Level : Level–10 (₹56,100 – 1,77,500) + allowances
Mode : Direct Recruitment
Eligibility (Direct Recruitment)
- Qualification Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science (55% marks or equivalent grade).
Knowledge
- Library Computerisation (essential).
- NET / Ph.D. Qualified in UGC-NET (or equivalent); Ph.D. holders (as per UGC 2009 Ph.D. Regulations) are exempted from NET.
Experience
- 5 years’ library service in Level-7 (₹44,900 – 1,42,400) in Govt./University/College/Organisation.
- Desirable PG Diploma in Library Automation & Networking / Computer Applications.
Age limit 35 years
