Qualifications & Experience: Essential 

• 1. Ph.D in Library/ Information Science

• 3. Five years Experience as Senior Assistant Librarian in Level 11 (PB3 with ACP 7000/-) in a large Library of reputed Research Institute/ College. 
• 4. Working Experience in formulating and administering policies, rules and regulation, preparation of annual budget of the library, Planning and Management of Information Technology applications in the library,  Experience related to selection, acquisition, classification, cataloguing and maintenance of the library documents, facilitating various library services such as CAS, SDI, Reference, ILL etc. Developing short and long term plans for the library and related goals and objectives consistent with the library's mission. 

Desirable Experience: 

Experience in related media, technology, and information services aligned to knowledge management. Exposure to library software applications such as KOHA, D-Space, Zotero, Mendeley etc Publications in peer-reviewed journals/reputed journals on current trends. Membership in ALA/SLA/SIS/ILA, MANLIBNET, etc.

Qualifications & Experience: Essential 

1. A Master 's Degree in Library Science, Information Science or Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree, with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point —scale, wherever the grading system is followed). 2. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. 3. Five years of minimum experience as Library Assistant or equivalent position in a large Library of reputed Research Institute/ College. 

Desirable Qualification & Experience 

i) Ph. D or equivalent in relevant discipline. ii) A consistently good academic record, with knowledge of computerization of a library. iii) Working Experience of DSpace and Koha Automation software. iv) PG Diploma in Library Automation and Networking or PGDCA or equivalent. iii) Age Limit: The upper age limit is 40 yrs. 

General Conditions: 

• i) Age to be calculated as on the last date prescribed for receipt of completed applications. 
• ii) Proof of age is SSLC/Transfer Certificate. 
• iii) The age limit may be relaxed without any limit in case of employees of the Institute (including project staff) who have worked for minimum of three years. 
• iv) In case of physically challenged up to 10 years; and in case of ex•Servicemen, the extent of age concession is for the 'period of military service plus three years' but not beyond 50 years of age.
