Eligibility Criteria

• Only Fresh Post-Graduate in Library and Information Science (MLISc) are eligible to apply.
• Candidates must secure first class in their MLISc examination.

Desirable Criteria

• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Strong interpersonal and interpersonal skills.
• Basic working knowledge of IT and IT applications related to libraries.

Note:

• The examination will be conducted online only. The details for the same will be shared via e mail. 
• The participants need to have a desktop/laptop or smartphone with a good internet connection for the test.
• The selection of the candidate will be based on a written test followed by a personal interview (online).
• The format of the test and interview will be conducted in English.
• The selected candidates are expected to work six days a week.

This internship will involve assisting Library operations, mainly user and research services, instruction and outreach, acquisition and technical processing of learning resources being acquired for the Library. Coordinating with the Library team, this position requires a working knowledge of Machine Readable Cataloging (MARC) standard, Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) and exposure to open source or proprietary Library automation systems, preferably Koha Library Management System, though not mandatory. This position will be based in Chennai.
