Essential Qualification & Experience :

A Master’s Degree in library science/information science/documentation science, with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in point-scale, wherever grading system is followed.
Eight years experience as an Assistant University Librarian/College Librarian.
Evidence of innovative library services, including the integration of ICT in a library.
A Ph.D Degree in library science/information science/documentation/archives and manuscript-keeping/computerization of library. (v) Self attested hard copy of the supporting documents as mentioned in the Assessment Criteria format to be submitted.

Qualifications

Essential:

Good academic record with at least 45% marks of equivalent grade where grading system is practised at the Bachelor’s degree level in Library Science or Commerce from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Able to run accounts, office management and document processing tools and programs. Able to compile and draft reports.

Desirable:

Able to conduct linguistic and/or audio-video data collection through fieldwork with communities in Sikkim. Be able to carry out other responsibilities as assigned by the Projector Investigator.
